Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage assigned components of the company's mobility program, including planning, execution, communication, assessment, and continuous operational optimization to meet business and talent objectives.
- Serve as a Talent Mobility advisor, providing consultative guidance on relocation and assignment solutions to People Organization partners and business stakeholders.
- Act as the point of contact for Micron's contracted Relocation Management Company (RMC) regional office, strong partnerships, service delivery excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (People Ops, Finance, Tax, Legal, Payroll) to ensure compliance with immigration, tax, employment, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and monitor mobility budgets, forecasts, and expense management, supporting financial reporting, audits, and governance reviews.
- Proactively identify operational issues and risks, and design creative, practical solutions to enable business execution while maintaining compliance and policy integrity.
- Contribute to regional and global mobility initiatives aimed at standardization, simplification, and service delivery optimization.
- Maintain an up-to-date forecast of mobility demand, supporting capacity planning and financial accuracy.
- Participate in internal and external audits, data reviews, and financial tracking related to mobility programs.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and day-to-day support to less experienced mobility team members, as appropriate.
- Represent Micron in professional mobility networks and industry forums to stay current with evolving practices, regulatory changes, and market trends.
- Contribute to documentation, communications, and change management efforts related to new or updated mobility programs, policies, or tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 7+ years of professional experience in Global Mobility.
- Solid understanding of international relocation and assignment program structures, mobility policies, and industry best practices.
- Working knowledge of tax, immigration, and compliance considerations related to international mobility.
- Experience partnering with Relocation Management Companies (RMCs) or external mobility vendors.
- Strong process and operational mindset, with experience in program execution and optimization.
- Strong stakeholder management and consultative communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, globally distributed, and culturally diverse environment.
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills to navigate complex, ambiguous, or sensitive mobility situations.
- High level of personal accountability, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Collaborative mindset with a strong customer and employee experience focus.
- Experience in Human Resources, Global Assignments, Finance, Accounting, Tax, or Immigration is highly beneficial.
- Exposure to global or regional mobility governance models in large, matrixed organizations.
- Experience supporting or participating in global mobility transformation or standardization initiatives.
- Familiarity with mobility case management tools, vendor platforms, or HRIS integrations.
- Prior experience providing informal leadership, mentoring, or knowledge-sharing within a mobility or HR team.
