Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage the full end-to-end fabrication flow for InP-based EELs (e.g., Fabry-Pérot, DFB, and DBR lasers).
  • Identify and resolve integration bottlenecks using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE) to improve device electro-optical performance.
  • Partner with Epitaxy (MOCVD) teams to optimize regrowth interfaces and collaborate with the Design team on Layout-to-Mask integrity.
  • Oversee critical advanced fabrication steps including dry/wet etching (ICP/RIE), dielectric deposition (PECVD/ALD), and metallization.
  • Coordinate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on fabrication failures utilizing SEM, TEM, and FIB diagnostics to drive continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of direct experience in III-V semiconductor processing.
  • Deep understanding of III-V compound semiconductors, specifically GaAs/InP/InGaAsP material systems.
  • Strong grasp of semiconductor laser physics.
  • Hands-on experience or strong understanding of photolithography, etching, and thin film deposition.
  • Proficiency in JMP or Python for data analysis.
