Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering solutions to reliability problems affecting SMRT Signalling, Communication & Control System and their associated equipment
- Independently conduct defect troubleshooting, failure analysis, reliability trending, and develop engineering solutions to the problems identified
- Work effectively with Operations and Maintenance staff from the Lines as well as other engineering departments to investigate defects
- Develop methods, propose modifications and improve maintenance strategies to rectify defects
- Analyze and trend condition monitoring and defect data to identify reliability concerns
- Draft technical work instructions for preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Identify and implement cost effective technologies to enhance SMRT Signaling, Communication & Control System performance
- Support LTA and SMRT projects in reviewing project design specifications and ensure their adequacy for the safety, reliability, maintainability and operability
- Provide other engineering support to the projects, as required
- Identify and report any safety concerns at the workplace
- Undertake any other tasks or functions that are incidental or ancillary to the performance of the works, as assigned by supervisor
- Work in any SMRT lines or Maintenance Depots
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent from recognized institution
- Previous Railway System experience would be advantageous
- Exhibit Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable to work hands-on in a maintenance workshops environment alongside other Engineers, Assistant Engineers and Technical Officers
- Able to work independently and as a team
- Fluent in written and spoken skills in English
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
- Fluent in written and oral communication skills in English
