Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, fabrication, and measurement of optoelectronic quantum devices, such as single-photon detectors, based on low-dimensional van der Waals materials.
- Establish fabrication recipes, protocols, and material processing capabilities within the project and research group.
- Lead measurements and analysis of experimental data, supervising engineering and optimization of device performance.

Requirements
- PhD in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics, Material Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 2 years of experience.
- Expertise in the fabrication and measurements of optical devices based on low-dimensional materials.
- Expertise in optical setups and performing experiments in quantum and/or nonlinear optics in the visible and near-IR range.
- Expertise in measurements, analysis, and interpretation of optical and electro-optical experimental data.
- Expertise in the fabrication of van der Waals heterostructures and handling air-sensitive 2D materials.
- Expertise in cryogenic techniques and performing measurements at low temperatures.
- Proficiency in nanofabrication techniques such as lithography, thin film deposition, plasma etching, and 2D material processing.
- Experience in software programming (LabVIEW and/or Python).
- Demonstrated ability to independently plan, execute, and report on a research study.
- High-level communication skills and ability to network effectively with stakeholders.
