Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies for assigned commodity groups to optimize cost, quality, and supply continuity
- Conduct in-depth market and supplier analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Lead supplier selection, evaluation, and negotiation processes for strategic suppliers
- Perform total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis and cost modeling to support sourcing decisions
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to align sourcing with technical requirements
- Monitor supplier performance using scorecards and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage contract lifecycle including drafting, negotiation, and compliance tracking
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through dual-sourcing, inventory strategies, and contingency planning
- Prepare and present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and leadership
- Support annual planning and budgeting processes with data-driven category forecasts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement
- Proven experience managing complex supplier relationships in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and spend analysis methodologies
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for procurement and supplier management
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and drive cost savings in high-volume commodity categories
- Knowledge of semiconductor supply chain dynamics, including wafer, materials, and equipment markets
- Experience conducting market intelligence and supplier capability assessments
- Strong communication and presentation skills for influencing cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with global suppliers
- Experience with risk management and business continuity planning in supply chain
- Familiarity with ESG and sustainability considerations in supplier selection
- Proficiency in financial modeling and cost-benefit analysis
- Certification such as CPSM, CSCP, or Six Sigma is preferred
