Key Responsibilities
- Lead the trade compliance team for the region.
- Establish operational objectives and work plans.
- Determine resources needed to meet goals and delegates assignments to subordinates.
- Develop, modify, and execute company policies that affect immediate operations and may have enterprise-wide effect.
- Work on complex assignments where problem solving requires conceptual thinking as all factors may not be clearly defined.

- Oversee experienced professionals and may be responsible for subordinate supervisors and/or managers and in some instances, may be responsible for a functional area and not have any subordinate employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree is required. Advanced degree (MA, JD, MBA) is an advantage.
- 10+ years' experience in international trade, deep understanding of import/export operations and core trade compliance topics, including country of origin, customs valuation, free trade agreements, export controls, trade sanctions and tariff classification.
- A breadth of knowledge for global trade requirements and deep understanding of the trade framework across the Asia Pacific region.
- Experience engaging government officials representing trade interests of multinationals.
- Experience engagement with customs brokers and logistics services providers including customs clearance operational topics, KPI measurement, business reviews
- Experience in life science or medical device industry would be advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, judgement, creativity, flexibility.
- Experience engaging cross-functionally and collaboratively to develop and implement compliance programs.
- Detail oriented and highly organized; ability to multi-task several tasks/projects at once.
- Ability to adapt to rapid change, work with a sense of urgency, and manage time effectively.
