Key Responsibilities
- Plans facilities changes for plant, office, and production equipment layouts
- Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings
- Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition
- Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation and other related costs
- Inspects construction and installation progress for conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Develops criteria and performance specifications required to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes
- Ensuring implementation of systems and procedures required to attain department goals and objectives
- Managing resources as necessary to achieve desired goals and objectives
- Oversee all stages of cleanroom tool hook-up, including pre-installation planning, equipment rigging, placement, and utility connections such as bulk and specialty gases, chemicals, ultra-pure water, exhaust, power, and chilled water
- Collaborate closely with facility engineers, equipment vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of tools into the fabrication infrastructure
- Review and authorize hookup designs, P&IDs, and engineering documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical) from a recognized institution
- Knowledge in Facilities systems is a plus
- Good project management and presentation skills
- Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in automation and programming skills is a plus
- Effective communicator, able to collaborate across all levels
- Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning
- Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus
- Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable
- Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Office and Power Point
