Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with NPL and DE align sourcing decisions on new technology requirement. Source and evaluate new MFRs as required
- KLA Global Ops and NPL/Design Engineering escalation point on Core and Emerging suppliers
- Lead complex negotiations PA and DA and Business Reviews
- Actively engage with tier 2/3 electronic component manufacturers for latest situation of their supply chain and build-up knowledge base of their supply base
- Keep abreast of market supply situations and any global situations (COVID lockdowns, earthquakes, conflicts, trade tariff, etc) that will disrupt the supply and provide updates and propose action plans to KLA community
- For parts under allocation from key component manufacturers, drive the following actions: Work with PCBA / Power Supply / Server suppliers to obtain KLA shortage and requirement part lists Work closely with Key component manufacturers to obtain allocation to KLA Ensure the KLA allocations are passed through downstream supply chain of distributors and KLA PCBA / Power Supply / Server suppliers and they receive the allocated components Work with suppliers and KLA engineering to identify and qualify alternate parts
- To Interface between KLA design engineering and key component manufacturers
- Contribute, lead, and manage at all organizational levels, both internally and externally to ensure timely achievement of milestones, effective supplier relationship and contract management, and on-time delivery of high quality material goods and services at the lowest possible costs.
- Lead supplier business reviews.
- Support, lead, and manage the early involvement of key tier 2 and 3 suppliers in our technology and NPI programs managing the sometimes conflicting technical and business challenges.
- Support, lead, and manage the achievement of all business objectives, including technology and product requirements, cost reductions, product improvements, and problem resolutions.
- Drive and work with suppliers on Purchase Agreement, NDA and other legal documents.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business management or equivalent
- Must have experience in low-volume high-mix and VMI/DFT/Pull manufacturing environment is a plus
- Experience in data analytic and data analysis
- Experience in contract negotiation, lead complex supplier management
- Experience in sourcing of most electronics components from passive to active, interconnects, etc
- Expert in parts pricing, and electronic component supply market knowledge
- Able to develop and execute sourcing strategies that map to and support overall business strategies.
- Able to develop and manage supplier business reviews and scorecards
- Able to ensure compliance with company supply chain management best practices, policies, procedures, and external compliance requirements.
- Solid technical, business, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of SAP system
- Domestic and international travel may be required.
