Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Supply Chain Engineering, Product Development, Planning and GSA to ensure reliable, high-quality components for manufacturing
  • Validate Supplier Processes as part of New Product Introduction (NPI), Engineering Change Note (ECN) and Supplier Change Requests (SCR)
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to meet quality, availability & value requirements
  • Act as the technical link between ResMed and our electronics suppliers, clearly communicating product specifications and assessing supplier capabilities
  • Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues, driving root cause analysis, managing corrective actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives to improve product quality and supplier capability
  • Participate in supplier audits and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a closely related field
  • Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on supplier quality, process engineering, or manufacturing engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on driving results
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support supplier collaboration and audits
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and align with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional departments and stakeholders in a proactive and constructive manner
  • Experience in PCBA (PCB Assembly) and power supply manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of GD&T and familiarity with quality tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, APQP, or Kepner-Tregoe methodologies
  • Experience in operating within highly regulated industry – preferably medical devices
  • Proficiency in using statistical tools such as SPC, Gage R&R, Minitab or JMP
  • Project management skills and experience leading cross-functional improvement initiatives
  • Strong negotiation and supplier engagement skills
