Key Responsibilities

  • Drive, initiate, and lead R&D on novel X-ray inspection technologies, systems, and applications for internal defects detection in advanced semiconductor packaging.
  • Explore and propose novel R&D topics concerning X-ray inspection and metrology technologies to address current semiconductor industry challenges.
  • Translate R&D Intellectual Properties (IPs) into novel industrial solutions and semiconductor equipment.
  • Focus on developing nano-X-ray inspection technology/systems for Semiconductor Manufacturing.
  • Investigate the science of X-ray interaction with materials and its impact on X-ray 2D imaging and CT reconstruction.
  • Develop AI-assisted methods for defects/artefacts detection, classification, and prioritization during failure analysis.
  • Work on developing nano X-ray sources with smaller focal spots, longer lifetimes, and higher brightness.
  • Contribute to AI-assisted fast X-ray imaging and reconstruction techniques.

Requirements

  • PhD degree in Physics, Material Inspection and Analysis, or other relevant disciplines.
  • Strong publication/patent record in high-resolution X-ray imaging and X-ray/material interaction for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Deep understanding of defects detection, metrology, and failure analysis within semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to utilize scientific software/equipment for defects detection, analysis, and simulation.
  • Experience developing X-ray inspection, measurement, or analysis solutions for industrial applications.
  • Proven experience working with leading R&D institutes on X-ray technology development.
  • Innovative, self-driven, adaptable, and proactive team player capable of cross-disciplinary collaboration.
