Key Responsibilities

  • Lead/support the technical execution and delivery of projects in thermoforming and polymer melt-flow processes
  • Prepare 2D & 3D CAD drawings for component, tooling and test fixtures
  • Conduct prototype fabrication, pre-production fitment trials, product quality control and laboratory tests, to ensure timely project delivery
  • Conduct material characterization and material testing for polymer and composites
  • Conduct part failure analysis and FE simulations as required for product redesign and improvement projects
  • Maintain accurate records of production work orders, laboratory data, methodologies, results and technical drawings
  • Prepare presentation and reports, research project proposals and risk assessment/ safe work procedure documents
  • Support in the sourcing, quotation and procurement of project consumables and services
  • Lead/Support the innovation and development of other polymer process technologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Material Science & Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software with at least 1 year experience in mechanical or product design.
  • Comfortable with handling heavy equipment operations, conduct physical experiment work and process troubleshooting.
  • Prior hands-on experience in polymeric material processing, specifically in thermoforming, injection moulding or composite processing, will be highly advantageous.
  • Experience in structural design for aircraft seats or cabin interior components, including understanding load cases, material selection, and test setup and execution, will be considered a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of DOA (Design Organisation Approval) requirements, aviation certification pathways, and familiarity with compliance documentation will be an added advantage, particularly for supporting aircraft interior and seat‑related development work.
  • Strong willingness to acquire new knowledge and skills, including material testing, jig and fixture design for part testing, Singapore Airworthiness Requirements, etc.
  • Exemplary attention to detail and technically inclined towards manufacturing process and laboratory work
  • Comfortable with customer/vendor interactions and adept in handling project negotiations, technical clarifications. Basic knowledge in finite element analysis (FEA) or prior exposure to process simulation tools will be advantageous.
