Key Responsibilities
- Discharge duties of a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) as per the WSH Act and Regulations.
- Develop and implement WSH management systems and risk management plans for research and general activities.
- Develop and implement programs to steer WSH culture, habits, and norms within the organization.
- Develop and conduct WSH training programs for staff.
- Provide expert advice to Management regarding changes in Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice, and Standards.
- Carry out WSH inspections to evaluate non-compliance and identify performance gaps.
- Facilitate risk management, recommending and implementing actions to improve WSH performance.
- Prepare and implement emergency response plans and communicate them to stakeholders.
- Conduct incident investigations and recommend actions to address root causes.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or related fields.
- At least 2 years of relevant WSH working experience.
- MOM registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer.
- SCDF registered Fire Safety Manager.
- Knowledge of WSH and chemical substances legislations and standards.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
