Key Responsibilities

  • Perform development and validation of mock-ups, models, and prototypes for frame, tooling, or equipment-related design concepts supporting wafer fab manufacturing processes.
  • Drive prototype testing and evaluations within the fab or engineering lab environment; analyze, compile, and report results to support advanced problem finding, debugging, feasibility assessment, and design for manufacturability.
  • Provide technical leadership in identifying mechanical, structural, or process-integration risks impacting equipment performance, yield, reliability, or operational efficiency.
  • Define, establish, and approve engineering trial procedures in compliance with fab protocols, equipment standards, EHS requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance, review, and governance of trial data, engineering records, and quality documentation in alignment with wafer fab quality systems and change control processes.
  • Collaborate closely with process, equipment, manufacturing, quality, and facilities teams; provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or higher
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in wafer fab manufacturing or relevant industries
  • Strong expertise in design for manufacturability, feasibility analysis, equipment qualification, and engineering problem resolution in high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of wafer fab quality systems, regulatory compliance, and trial governance.
  • Ability to lead technical initiatives and manage complex engineering trials.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and support continuous improvement within a fab environment.
