Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and ensure the quality assurance of national measurement standards and systems in pressure and flow, compliant with ISO/IEC 17025.
- Establish international equivalence of pressure and flow measurement capabilities through technical support in international comparisons.
- Provide technical support during external expert peer-reviews to achieve international recognition for calibration and measurement capabilities.
- Disseminate national pressure and flow standards and measurement technologies to industry via calibration and measurement services.
- Participate in developing new metrology capabilities and services based on emerging industry needs.
- Assist in supervising students and trainees under attachment programmes.
- Conduct technical assessments under the Singapore Accreditation Council-Singapore Lab Accreditation Scheme and train new technical assessors.
- Ensure lab operations meet NMC’s requirements in Health Safety and Environment.
Requirements
- Qualification in Science or Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- Experience in pressure and flow measurement.
- Knowledge of instrumentation and statistical analysis.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team.
- Proactive, self-driven contributor with a positive approach to challenges.
