Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the new construction project planning process
- Establish project objectives, scope and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and ensuring alignment with user requirements
- Prepare new project Space, Cost & schedule report & long-term plan reports for management review
- Develop and manage initial project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery
- Ensure Roles, Responsibilities and Accountabilities are fully understood by the project team members
- Collect, classify, and evaluate data and information used in supporting the Micron new construction project planning evaluation request
- Manage and support Micron construction projects from inception to closeout, including project scoping, pre-planning, design, client/contractor/vendor coordination, construction administration, budget management, and project closeout
- Manage and improve the new project planning business process
- Gather, analyze, and benchmark Micron's current manufacturing sites & construction projects, and provide accurate & timely information to the project team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field from a recognised institute of higher learning
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management
- Experience in Project Program management / Planning / Schedule Control is highly valued
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Construction Project management software, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Good analytical skills with problem solving aptitude
- Ability to integrate, work collaboratively and proactively in a team environment
- Able to complete projects in a timely manner
- Relevant professional certification in project management or construction management, like Project Management Professional (PMP) or LEED certification
- 3 years’ experience in large-scale construction projects, preferably in Semiconductor Fab construction or related Facilities construction in high tech/Pharmaceutical/Oil & Gas industries
- Demonstrable experience in the Construction or Semiconductor Project Management and/or other relevant industries is strongly preferred
- Strong financial understanding and experience in project cost estimate/budgeting/cost control
- Proven track record of successful project delivery
- Knowledge of local construction regulations, permits and approval processes will be highly valued
- Strong organization, coordination, and leadership skills – ability to coordinate and motivate stakeholders from different departments and background
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and proactively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to visualize issues and communicate them clearly to others
