Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the execution of the S&OP plan of the unit she/he is in charge of, including the monitoring of plant and provides (daily) instructions/orders to the shift teams
  • To review and update of start-up, shutdown and operating guidelines or instructions and procedures
  • To initiate and apply multi-disciplinary process design and control strategies in relation to processes and systems
  • To find and resolve different process limitations and optimising production to ensure high utilisation and availability
  • Responsible for catalyst/absorbent etc. follow up and lead a team to i.e. change out absorbent
  • To monitor and optimise the day-to-day consumption of chemicals, additives and/or any other consumables for the assigned units
  • Responsible for the first line troubleshooting, optimisation and engineering support of the assigned unit, including preparation of correct reporting of several daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports like Utility reporting, KPI reporting etc.
  • Responsible for optimisation on assigned unit's contribution to the CPEI, Carbon footprint and energy efficiency of the integrated refinery
  • To participate in safety assessments like i.e. HAZOP, PHA and also be the investigation lead of Incidents/Near miss investigations
  • Prepares, reviews and improves assigned Operations NMS Work Procedures including its accuracies
  • Responsible for the Operating Manual for the assigned units in charge
  • Lead as change manager in small optimisation/improvement projects

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor in Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in oil refining and petrochemical industries
  • Strong interpersonal and planning skills
  • High safety standard and strong influencing skills
  • Good team player and positive thinking
