Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the reliability of the power system by implementing an effective and efficient maintenance strategy
  • Provide technical advice and engineering studies support to line maintenance activities on improvement works through innovation and leveraging on new technology
  • Align staff with the company’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values through consistent communication and regular sharing sessions on progress and development of rollout plans
  • Lead staff and Engineering Maintenance Manager (EMM) to meet KPIs and sustain high productivity by aligning manpower deployment with workload demands
  • Ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks according to work instruction and quality procedures (QP)
  • Review processes and resources regularly
  • Attend and analyse faults in the network and ensure corrective maintenance is targeted at the root cause
  • Evaluate in-house work and outsourcing contractor work
  • Coordinate with external parties and authorities on power-related matters and audits

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience in railway operation or maintenance
  • Valid licence as Electrical PE and LEW will be an advantage
  • Self-motivation, always striving to improve or meet a standard of excellence
  • Ability to lead by example
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in and as a team
  • Knowledge of Power System & Operation
  • Experience with 22KV Switchgear
  • Experience with Rectifier & Inverter
  • Experience with 415V Switchboard, Battery & Charger
  • Experience with 750V DC Switchgear
  • Experience with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and Emergency Power Supply (EPS)
  • Completion of MRT System Work Safety Course
  • Knowledge of Electrical Safety
  • Familiarity with Railway Operating Procedure (Maintenance)
  • Completion of SFT & Familiarization / Interactive Session for COA
