Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business partners on international and regional operations (regions' subsidiaries, permanent establishments) to understand the business initiatives, prepare advice on the APAC tax implications, provide actionable recommendations and requirements for the business
  • Support the reporting and compliance obligations of Airbus companies in the region
  • Lead and execute the regional Transfer Pricing (TP) documentation mission for APAC, ensuring all Master Files and Local Files are compliant, consistent, and submitted within statutory deadlines.
  • Manage operational Transfer Pricing, including the monitoring of intercompany margins and the implementation of year-end TP adjustments.
  • Liaise with external consultancies in the region
  • Support the finance team in the region to respond to tax investigations and prepare/review the documents for tax inquiries
  • Serve as the primary technical lead for International Tax queries, including treaty applications, Withholding Tax (WHT), and Permanent Establishment (PE) risk assessments for cross-border projects
  • Follow international/regional tax developments, provide early warning alerts to management of material tax changes
  • Ensure continuous alignment with Airbus Policies
  • Work cross-functionally with the teams (Airbus global tax team and other functions e.g. business, finance, accounting, legal) to provide tax relevant and timely tax advice
  • Advise local staff in the preparation of tax papers periodically tax returns
  • Develop a compliance framework to ensure all entities are in compliance with local laws and regulations within the stipulated time frame

Requirements

  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to take full ownership of the regional tax function with minimal 'ramp-up' time.
  • Proactive personality capable of navigating complex tax problems and providing actionable, business-friendly recommendations.
  • Significant experience working within multi-cultural environments and the ability to influence stakeholders across various APAC jurisdictions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex tax technicalities into clear insights for senior management and non-tax peers.
  • Able to manage competing deadlines (e.g., TP filing seasons) and adapt quickly to shifting business priorities.
  • Graduate Degree in Economics, Law, Business or related
  • Tax education as (certified) tax advisor or specialised tax lawyer
  • International tax expertise gained in an international accounting or law firm or in a multinational industrial company
  • 7 to 10 years of tax experience
