Key Responsibilities
- Work within the Business Transformation team focusing on distribution strategy, future operating models, productivity design, incentive optimisation, customer & agent experience, and digital enablement across insurance distribution channels.
- Support senior leaders in developing client insights, including market benchmarks, distribution performance assessments, channel profitability analysis, and customer/agent journey diagnostics.
- Collaborate across multi‑disciplinary EY teams to develop end‑to‑end solutions that address insurer pain points related to sales productivity, channel cost management, compensation structures, and distribution governance.
- Prepare high‑quality deliverables such as business cases, operating model designs, transformation roadmaps, and executive presentations tailored to client needs.
- Participate in business development activities, assisting in the creation of proposals, point‑of‑view papers and thought leadership related to insurance distribution.
- Form part of project delivery teams, taking ownership of workstreams involving data analysis, problem structuring, stakeholder interviews, and solution design.
- Support change management and implementation activities to ensure successful adoption of new operating models, incentives, sales processes, and digital tools.
Requirements
- Minimum 9 years of experience in the insurance industry or consulting, ideally in areas related to distribution strategy, agency or bancassurance management, digital distribution, product‑channel alignment, customer journey transformation, or business model redesign.
- Strong capabilities in problem-solving, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and structured storylining.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven experience in client‑facing environments.
- Strong experience in business analysis, with familiarity in assessing distribution KPIs such as productivity, channel mix, persistency, conversion funnels, and incentive program effectiveness.
- Experience working with stakeholders across the insurance ecosystem such as Distribution, Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Technology, and Compliance.
- Prior consulting experience in Financial Services, or exposure to transformation programs across agency, bancassurance, or digital distribution.
- Knowledge of key challenges faced by insurers today (e.g., rising acquisition costs, agent recruitment challenges, digital disruption, customer behaviour shifts) and how these can be addressed through automation, analytics, and digital tools.
- Passion for transforming insurance distribution and improving agency, bancassurance, digital, or partnership channel performance.
- Strong interest in solving commercial, operational, and customer‑experience challenges faced by insurance distribution teams.
- Ability to understand both business drivers and technology enablers—including CRM, lead management systems, agent tools, and digital acquisition platforms—to support distribution innovation.
- A mindset oriented towards automation and digitalisation, always seeking opportunities to streamline distribution processes and create frictionless sales journeys for customers and agents.
- Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving skills, with the ability to link data insights to commercial outcomes.
