Key Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish according to lead time and usage trends
- Expedite deliveries from suppliers to mitigate stockouts and manage storage space constraints
- Attend to stockout items and coordinate with buyers to source ex-stock quantities and short-term measures
- Run monthly forecasting and ageing analysis in SAP and propose drawdown/disposal plans for excess/obsolete (E&O) stock
- Maintain critical spares lists tied to maintenance plans and fleet availability targets
- Coordinate with Procurement on weekly cadences to review priorities, shortages, and delivery risks
- Evaluate RFQs/tenders for stock items via Ariba, perform price benchmarking and lead-time assessment
- Drive cost-saving initiatives by evaluating aftermarket vs OE parts with Engineering
- Bring in parts to support projects, heavy maintenance (TM/engine overhauls), and CSW requirements
- Ensure contract terms and pricing are correctly reflected in SAP and adhered to in purchasing
- Comply with procurement governance, audit requirements, and internal controls
- Track supplier OTD (on-time delivery), lead times, and responsiveness; escalate risks early
Requirements
- Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or relevant studies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
- SAP PM module experience preferred
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related
- 3–5 years in material planning or procurement in automotive/bus/rail/heavy equipment (Senior: 5–8+ years)
- Hands-on with SAP (MM/Materials) and Ariba (or equivalent e-procurement platforms)
- Strong Excel; Power BI or analytics exposure is a plus
- Familiarity with bus systems/components (e.g., traction motor, engine, driveline, braking, electrical) is advantageous
- Proven stakeholder management with Engineering, Maintenance, Depots, and Procurement
- Governance/audit experience in public transport or regulated environments is a plus
