  • DSO’s biocontainment facilities (BSL-2/3/4 laboratories) are critical facilities supporting biodefence R&D and operational requirements for the nation's defence against biological threats. We are recruiting a motivated and technically skilled individual to support the establishment, upgrade and operation of DSO#s biocontainment facilities to ensure regulatory readiness of the facilities and to provide our laboratory users with a safe and secure working environment.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions related to facility operations
  • Continuously review and update emergency response procedures and coordinate drills with the Biosafety coordinator and the Emergency Response Team
  • Lead the development and execution of training plans and competency assessment for laboratory users and facility managers covering biosafety, biosecurity and SOP compliance

Requirements

  • Degree/ Masters/ PhD in Microbiology/ Infectious Biology/ Safety Management
  • At least 5 years' experience in biocontainment laboratory operations or commissioning
  • Knowledge in biosafety and biosecurity including authority code requirements
  • Good communication and people skills in managing stakeholders, including contractors, regulatory authorities, laboratory users, and own team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
