Key Responsibilities
- Lead research and development of Kibble Balance in small mass range for potential next-generation primary mass standard.
- Translate Kibble Balance research into industry-grade applications and broader industrial uses.
- Establish international equivalence of measurement capabilities through participation in international comparisons.
- Disseminate national mass and force standards and technologies by developing industry-specific measurement solutions.
- Provide consultancy and training to enhance the mass and force measurement capabilities of industry partners.
- Supervise students and trainees participating in attachment programmes.
- Ensure laboratory operations comply with NMC’s Health, Safety, and Environment requirements.
Requirements
- Science or engineering degree with a strong track record in Kibble Balance research and development.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Kibble Balance research and development.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation and statistical analysis.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team setting.
- Proactive contributor who is self-driven, eager to learn, and maintains a positive approach to challenges.
- Skills in automation and digitalization, including hardware and software integration.
