AI summarisedARTC is seeking a Senior Development Engineer to join the Autonomous Systems & Robotics (ASR) group. This role involves accelerating the development of novel, intelligent, and reconfigurable robotic systems for industry adoption across manufacturing and logistics ecosystems in Singapore. You will lead small projects, contribute to R&D, and apply Generative AI and optimization algorithms to solve practical industry problems.

Key Responsibilities
- Study new technologies and market tools, evaluating pros/cons and making recommendations for generative AI-driven robotic system development.
- Validate new concepts using virtual models, simulations, and physical prototypes.
- Design and develop physical/software modules, programs, and system components.
- Lead robotics and automation system/software development projects for grant-funded research and direct industrial problem statements.
- Interact with System Integrators (SI) and vendors to deploy AI-based automation systems in operational environments.
- Develop detailed technical proposals addressing complex industry challenges, including automation and robotics.
- Testing and validating systems/solutions developed by other team members.
- Write and maintain technical documentation and deliver project presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering).
- At least 3 years of experience developing and deploying industry-ready AI/ML-based robotics and automation systems or software.
- Strong understanding of smart manufacturing automation systems (IT/OT).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C/C++.
- Good experience developing robot manipulation programs (e.g., ABB RAPID, URScript, KRL) for various industry applications.
- Hands-on experience with industrial robot arms, cobots, and PLCs for automation system development.
- Ability to work independently and hands-on on projects without regular supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and analysis skills.
