Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the scientific vision and strategy for AI-driven drug design within the AIDD LeadFactory, identifying high-impact research avenues.
- Lead a research group applying innovative AI methodologies for drug discovery, including de novo design, virtual screening, binding affinity prediction, and hit-to-lead optimization.
- Integrate computational design efforts with experimental validation using the AIDD LeadFactory's infrastructure.
- Strengthen collaborations with internal A*STAR groups and external academic/industry partners to leverage the LeadFactory's capabilities.
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences to enhance the programme's global visibility.
Requirements
- PhD in Computational Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Chemoinformatics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a closely related field.
- Strong, internationally recognized research track record in AI-driven drug design with high-impact publications.
- Extensive experience leading research teams and managing complex interdisciplinary projects at the computational/experimental interface.
- Deep expertise in designing novel neural network architectures and machine learning methodologies for molecular design and predictive modeling.
- Proven ability to integrate computational design with experimental validation, especially concerning automated synthesis and high-throughput screening.
- Proficiency in computational chemistry software and a deep understanding of medicinal chemistry and drug discovery principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative research environment.
